Alain Taïeb is professor emeritus of Dermatology at Bordeaux University. He established theNational Reference Centre for Rare Skin Disorders in 2005. He was until 2019 Director of INSERM 1035 research lab “Biotherapy of genetic diseases, inflammatory disorders and cancer” (BMGIC). He set up the European Task Force on Atopic Dermatitis in 1990, and the Vitiligo European Task Force in 2003, which are the current official ad hoc tasks forces of the EADV. He has authored more than 700 articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 60 chapters in multiauthored books.

Prof. Dr. Cristina Has is an internationally recognized expert in genodermatoses, especially epidermolysis bullosa (EB) — a group of rare genetic skin fragility disorders. She leads both a clinic and research laboratory at the University of Freiburg focused on gene discovery, disease mechanisms, and the development of advanced therapies. Her work contributes to innovative treatments, including cell and gene therapies, aimed at regenerating skin and improving outcomes for patients with EB and other genetic skin conditions.

Dr. Irina Turchin has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta. She did her medical training at the University of Calgary and completed Dermatology residency at McGill University. Dr. Turchin is board-certified in Dermatology in both Canada and the United States.

Prof. Steinhoff studied Medicine and Human Biology in Germany where he received his MD (magna cum laude) and PhD (summa cum laude) from University Marburg. He received his Dermatology training at Universities in Goettingen, Muenster, Germany, and at Univ. California San Francisco, USA, where he was promoted from assistant to full professor in 6 years.

Clinically, he is board-certified in Dermatology, Venereology, Allergy and Phlebology from Germany and in Dermatology/Venereology in California, USA. Prof. Martin’s interests are complex inflammatory skin diseases like atopic dermatitis, Pruritus, Rosacea, Hidrenitis suppurativa, SJS/TEN, Psoriasis, Alopecia areata.
